Award Winners and Commended Finalists booklet.
The aim of the Lord Mayor's Design Awards is to encourage, promote and publicise the best in architecture and environmental design and to help improve the built environment for us all. In 2009, a new category, "The People's Choice" was introduced and opened to the public vote to support your views and help us celebrate excellent design in Newcastle upon Tyne. 2011 is no different and so all shortlisted entries in the Design Awards in categories such as Landscape, Small Scale Development, Conservation, Refurbishment, New Building and Sustainability have been put forward as nominees for "The People's Choice".
The winner of The People's Choice will be announced, along with the winners and commended finalists of the other categories, at the awards ceremony on 5th December 2011 and will be published on this page and at http://www.newcastle.gov.uk/lmda soon after.
More about the Lord Mayor's Design Awards can be found by visiting http://www.newcastle.gov.uk/lmda
